At least, that's what mayor and state Sen. Brian Stack thinks.
At the city's board of commissioners meeting last week at St. Anthony's Church on Eighth Street, several resolutions and ordinances were unanimously adopted that aim to beautify Union City and raise the quality of life within it.
Among them were ordinances that would eliminate garbage from the streets, promote lawn care, and plant several trees throughout the city.
A resolution passed that allows the city clerk to accept bids for plant and tree planting throughout the city.
According to Stack, 400 trees were planted throughout the city last year with another 300 to 400 expected this year. |
